The “Stop Cow Factory Farming” ads are working!

October 8th, 2010 by

We did it! Together hundreds of us chipped in to pile pressure on the two companies (Blankney Estates &EM Howard Ltd) who are still supporting the Nocton cow factory farm.

The ads are already working. Just before the newspaper went to press yesterday we got a call from the Lincolnshire Echo. One of the companies had been in touch with them after they heard the ads were coming. Because of the pressure from the company we had to make some quick changes to the ad.

If you want to contact the companies you can find out how to here.

The ads will run today and tomorrow.

Update: 1 – sorry something went a bit wrong there with the image. Here’s a second try! You can view the ad as an image here or download it as a pdf here.

Anyone want to see a day in the life of a mega-dairy farm in Ohio (where I lived for 10 years before returning to the UK) – this is what these animals will be subjected to:

This Ad really shows you have no idea what you are talking about. What sort of dairy farm in the UK farms that breed of cattle. where do you see on a dairy farm animals with the horns half removed and dirty. You have inadvertently given the best advert you could for the husbandry to be provided in the Nocton farm and other large farms. Didn't you watch the ch4 doc last week when a visit to a Devon farm was made and showed their true conditions. Why do you scare and intimidate and down right lie to the general public. This sort of campaign is disgraceful, misleading and unacceptable. I live in Nocton and I have no issues whatever with the farm, if it helps keep milk production in the UK. I know how animals are looked after here. I dont know how they are cared for in Poland or China. I know where I will buy my milk from !

totally agree. Can we set up a 38 degrees petition in support of the farm?

Well Chris, anything that raises public awareness on an issue which MAY be controversial can only be good in my opinion.
