This is very good news, and certainly a step in the right direction! However, we also need far more accountability from our Police, local authorities and politicians (irrespective of their political party). If you care about the future of politics in this country, you should also join Power2010! You can also find them on twitter!

Hi Marcus

Thanks for your blog comment. First of all I'd like to apologise that you wrote to us and didn't get a reply. We do our best to reply to everyone that gets in touch but we do get a lot of emails so occasionally we miss one or two, I'm sorry you didn't hear back from us. Could you let me know when you sent the email and I'll get back to you.

38 Degrees is a people powered movement and we listen to you, our members. You can always get in touch with us through our website or join the debate on the blog (as you have done) or on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/38-Degrees/200006375787?ref=ts . We listen to our members everyday and love the feedback we get from everyone.

Thanks for supporting our campaigns. We thought it was important to share the success of the recall campaign yesterday because the success was only possible thanks to thousands of our members coming together to support a Recall law, something we can all be proud of.

We decide what to campaign on based on feedback from our members. We will from time to time send you emails asking for your feedback on a campaign suggestion. If you ever have an idea for a campaign we should run please do get in touch here: http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/contact

Thanks for your support,

Johnny

You say: "People power is working, together we made this happen. As we grow bigger over time we’ll have more and more impact."

I feel that the only power we've got is to occasionally put our names in your box. When we write to you, you don't have time to answer -- I guess because you're already too big.

I do support several of your campaigns, including this one, but am I the only one who sees this article as a step towards self-congratulatory and thinly-veiled top-down power?
